Burlington, NC – The 35th Annual Burlington Carousel Festival will be held at Burlington City Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. The festival celebrates Burlington’s historic hand-carved Dentzel Carousel with a weekend full of live music, food trucks, a beer garden, an artisan market, and family-friendly fun. The festival headliner, Buddy Jewell, will take the Jimmy Combs main stage on Saturday evening at 6 p.m.

All amusement rides at Burlington City Park will be free throughout the festival weekend, including the iconic Dentzel Carousel - a rideable work of art enjoyed by generations. The miniature train is ready for an enthusiastic “all aboard!”  Other favorites include the tiny cars and the boat ride, complete with kid-favorite brass bells. For height requirements and ride details, visit www.BurlingtonNC.gov/CityPark.

In addition to Burlington City Park’s classic rides, the Thrill Zone will feature carnival-style attractions like the Way Out Swings, Tijuana Twister, and Tower Slide—plus a new Ferris Wheel this year. Unlimited ride wristbands for these attractions are available for $10 per day, per person, and can be purchased at Burlington City Park Concessions or onsite during the festival. Additional festival activities include face painting, a butterfly tent, Stuff-A-Bear, a kids’ art tent, virtual reality games, henna tattoos, sand art, and much more!
