May Memorial Library

The main library in the Alamance County library system. Offers children and adult programs free to the public. Also offers computer access, Internet and Wi-Fi. The facility includes a large local history room as well as a meeting room. Eight-panel acrylic painting by local artist Jill Troutman entitled "A Library for All Seasons" hangs in the 35 foot vaulted entry way. Literary Dentzel ~ Dentzels Around Town "Believe In The Magic of Carousels" The Dentzels Around Town, was part of the Downtown's Public Art Program. Artist David Nance of Graham. David is a native of Alamance County and now resides in Graham. The concept for this project was to incorporate the library with the carousel horse. Local authors writings were used to create a collage canvas on which to paint this colorful horse.
