Artists from Alamance County and the surrounding areas have submitted a variety of artwork to Southern Arts Movement’s upcoming Silent No Longer exhibit in downtown Graham. People are encouraged to begin at Forgotten Road Ales with a special Black Is Beautiful brew and then grab a map of the exhibit and head down Main St. for the rest of the amazing pieces, bringing you back to Forgotten Road Ales to end your journey in their amazing beer garden. The initial exhibit, which hopes to add pieces throughout the month, will showcase original paintings, photographs, screen printed apparel and even a handmade replica 18th century Eastern shore blanket chest. Each artist provides the story behind their art and all is available for public viewing at any time and at no cost. The exhibit will run until August 29th and will close with a (Covid Friendly) Block Party to celebrate the artist and sponsors. Make sure you find some time to come to Graham, see some amazing artwork, and support businesses and artists who have come together in this time of division to show that Black stories matter and are an important part of this community.
