Alamance Arts with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts will be presenting a Performing Arts Festival for Children on March 30th in downtown Burlington! The performances will be held in the Paramount Theatre, Impact Alamance, Holy Comforter Church and May Memorial Library. Each venue will present two performers. The performers will be professional groups that present subject matter for children in music, theatre, dance, and storytelling. All tickets will be $2.50 per person. Mark your calendar for this fun event for the whole family! This project sponsors include Impact Alamance, Duke Energy, Alamance Foundation, Nationwide Insurance: John A Peterson Jr, and Blairton and Brenda Hampton. The following performers will show: Bluegrass Stomp!, Charles Pettee Didgeridoo Down Under Show, Didgeridoo Down Under From Anansi to Zeus, Donna Washington Spelling 2-5-5, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte Steel and Djembe: Festival of Drums and Percussion, Mickey Mills The Emperor’s New Clothes, Grey Seal Puppets The Scientific Mime, or, What’s Up with Gravity?, Sheila Kerrigan The Three Bears’ Guide to Porridge Making, FBN Productions Opera for Kids
