In April 1882, Glencoe Mills began producing its first fabrics of plaid cotton flannel. The mill and its employees had a successful career for 74 years (Closed in 1954.) Today, the history is preserved in the Textile Heritage Museum and the Glencoe Village has been restored and preserved as an outdoor living museum for visitors to explore and enjoy.
