Cedarock Park is a 414 acre park in the foothills of the Cane Mountain Range being one of the largest county operated parks in the state.
The name “Cedarock” came from the abundance of cedar trees and rock outcroppings. The park offers a vast opportunity for nature studies. The gentle climate and restricted preserve encourages quiet walks in a surrounding of rare wild-flowers, ferns and mosses which thrive on the slopes of Rock Creek and its tributaries.

Cane Pole Fishing Hole Derby
You bring the poles, we bring the worms. Kids will be divided into two age grops for the contest: 5-7 and 8-12 year old's. For both age groups, prizes for the most fish caught and the largest fish. Only cane poles and live bait allowed. The challenge-only cane poles are allowed for the event. You are encouraged to bring you own poles; we have a limited number available on a first-come, first-served basis.
