Cedarock Park is a 500 acre park established in 1975. Cedarock Park is situated in the foothills of the Cane Mountain Range and features gently rolling terrain, an abundance of plant and wildlife species, and beautiful views of Rock Creek and its tributaries. Cedarock offers a variety of outdoor opportunities including:

  • Six Miles of Hiking and Nature Trails
  • Six miles of Equestrian Trails
  • Two Disc Golf Courses (one open, one wooded)
  • The Cedarock Historical Farm (restored to the late 19th Century)
  • Fishing
  • Picnicking (shelters and open areas)
  • Primitive Tent Camping
  • Canoe & Kayak Rentals

Cedarock Park offers two disc golf courses, the Cedarock Disc Golf Course and the Wellspring Disc Golf Course. The Cedarock Disc Golf Course is longer and more open with grass fairways. Spring Fishing Rodeo

Get your rod and reel ready for our annual kids' Spring Fishing Rodeo. This year we are opening the competition to any type of reel and we're timing the event to add some excitement. We will provide the worms. This is a free event for kids ages 5-12. Here is how the event will work: at 9:30am check-in will open. At 10:00 SHARP the horn will sound and the competition will begin. At 12:00pm the horn will sound again signaling the end of the competition. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and 1st-3rd place will be awarded for the most fish caught.

Spring Painting in the Park

Are you ready to play with watercolor and nature's patterns? Come out and enjoy the spring air with Kim, our expert artist and environmental educator. Whether you are an expert yourself or are trying watercolors for the first time we want you to have a good time and learn to create your own bright and fun patterns. Star Party: Star Light Star Bright

Join Burlington Recreation & Parks, Alamance Parks and other community partners for an evening of stargazing and astronomy-themed activities! Take part in a laser-guided constellation tour, look through telescopes and try out a star-themed activity! Please dress accordingly and bring a lawn chair. Parking and restrooms are available in the lot across from the Historic Farm. All ages welcome, children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The NC Science Festival's annual Statewide Star Party is made possible through the generous support of the NC Space Grant.

Wag N’ Walk

Bring your pooch out for a moderate hike and meet some other dog lovers! This is the next hike in our Wag N' Walk series. We will be hiking at Cedarock Park on the Rock Creek Trail (green markers). Please meet in the parking lot next to the playground/Wellspring Disc Golf Course. This section is two miles of easy/moderately easy hiking trail appropriate for all fitness levels.
