The Light Horse Plantation is tremendously pleased to host our second annual Christmas Dinner Theatre Production. A Christmas Memory - read by renowned actors Dan Doby and Pat Shumate and written by Truman Capote in the late 1950's. This is the true story of his lonely youth in Alamance County and his love for his elderly cousin, an eccentric recluse named Sook Faulk. A Christmas Memory is a beautiful and very moving piece, and we are honored to present it as a destination event for our community.
This year we are also very excited to be a partner with The Humane Society, and Singing Dog Husky Rescue. These two groups work every day to care for homeless or injured animals. They receive little pay, however practice the Christmas spirit every day of the year. Now comes the season of giving. Its the time of year when we all find the better parts of our nature, and share with others. A portion of our proceeds will go to support these two groups. Heres our chance to say how much we appreciate their work. If you are thinking of having a Christmas party, or just want a romantic evening out with your partner, please consider spending the evening with us at the Light Horse Plantation. You will be served a wonderful meal, while quenching your thirst at our in house English Pub, and experience a reading of one of the worlds most beloved Christmas stories, Truman Capotes A Christmas Memory. There will be music after the show, Happy Holidays to all of you, and we hope to see you at the Light Horse!
